Increasing stakes because you’re winning.
A winning streak can make a larger bet feel safer without making it safer.
The $10 bets are going well, so $50 starts to feel reasonable. You’re ahead, the account is growing, and the bigger stake doesn’t feel like spending money from your paycheck.
But winning recently doesn’t, by itself, improve the chance of your next bet. If the evidence behind your decisions hasn’t changed, the larger amount mostly changes how much you can lose.
It also changes what the losing streaks cost. One large loss can wipe out many smaller wins.
Money you won is still money you could withdraw. Before raising a stake, the useful question is what changed besides your balance and confidence.
