Practical options include a break or self-exclusion from an operator, gambling-blocking software, and gambling payment blocks where your bank offers them. Availability and coverage vary. A support service can help you work out what applies where you live.

Someone you trust can help you put those steps in place. If you’ve tried repeatedly to stick to a limit and couldn’t, that is a reason to get more support.

A trusted adult, school counselor, or support service can help. You are not responsible for winning back someone else’s losses or sorting out their gambling debts.
