to Gamble.

Judging your gambling only by what you usually do.

Months of small bets can include one night with much larger losses. That night belongs in the picture too.

Your usual stake might be $5 or $10. Then a bad result leads to a bigger bet, another deposit, and a session that bears little resemblance to the usual one.

Or a big win makes amounts that used to feel substantial seem small. Stakes rise without a clear decision about what you’re willing to lose.

Being careful most of the time doesn’t explain those exceptions. Look at what changed on the expensive nights: trying to get even, drinking, boredom, or something else going on.

If the same pattern keeps returning, it deserves attention even if it happens infrequently. Support and practical barriers can be useful before the next one.
